"Blessed are all they who put their trust in him."  Ps. 2:12b

Put.  It's a simple word, not one you really think about much until you add action to it.  In fact, that's the very definition of "put"... "to place in the charge or power of a person."  I do well in putting up the groceries and the clean clothes, or even putting on a happy face, or putting up with someone, but when faced with a circumstance or situation that requires me to "put my trust in Him"(Ps. 2:12b)- now, that gets a lot more difficult.  That requires action on my part--to mentally take my hands off the situation and to quit outlining the different plans I can come up with to resolve the situation.  So often, I think I need to help God in solving the problem.  I need to "put" my two cents in to get things accomplished.  In reality, all the Lord asks of me is to put - my trust in Him.  It requires all of me, (my mind, will, and emotions) to believe He will lead my next step and show me the answer that He desires for me.  In doing this, He promises to be faithful and I will be blessed.
Throughout this life long process, I am continuing to learn that trust and faith mean to take refuge (Ruth 2:12), to lean on (Ps. 56:3), to roll on (Ps. 22:8), and to wait for (Job 35:14).  Situations can take trust to a new level or even give a different twist to what we believe is "normal."  I do know it is a daily choice and decision to trust God to come through, to meet our need or needs, and to know He will show Himself faithful.  What an incredible journey we can experience as we let go and allow God to have free rein in our lives.  Oh what great blessings He bestows on us as He showers us with His love and goodness!  I have experienced that love throughout my life and I invite you to as well.
Today, let's say "I put my trust in the Lord..." for a job, finances, health, relationships, or even a habit.

"...his heart is fixed, trusting in the LORD." Ps. 112:7b
